John Deere Launches Building America Excavator Contest at Conexpo

At Conexpo, John Deere announced the Building America Excavator Contest, a U.S.-wide program for contractors and operators.

How to enter

Participants submit a short video about their construction business, current equipment use, and plans for future community projects.

Timeline

Entry period runs March 3 to April 30, 2026; finalists are announced July 4; public voting is August 17–31; winner announcement is September 8.

Prize and eligibility

The winner receives a new John Deere midsize excavator. Participants must be legal U.S. residents (or Washington, D.C.), be 18+, and own at least one excavator of any brand.

Related equipment launch

The contest is tied to Deere's newer P-Tier midsize excavator lineup (210/230/260), developed with extensive field testing.
